Salary + benefits circa 45,000 SAR per month (Inc basic, housing and transport) plus family flights medical and schooling for expats.

Our Client

A leading logistics company requires an Operations Director. The role requires strong leadership and ownership of all activities and KPI’s affecting the Warehousing & Distribution operations throughout the Kingdom and reports directly to the company CEO.

 

aResponsibilities

  • Prepare, manage and analyze operational budget and expenses (has full P&L accountability for all warehouse and logistics operations)

  • Costing and pricing of 3PL for warehousing

  • Ensures that client requirements are met and in keeping with the SLA and contractual obligations

  • Maintain and improve partnership with clients. Work with clients’ senior management to achieve its enterprise goals.

  • Continuous improvement towards best practise (customer service and costs)

  • Ensures Warehousing Management Directives are complied within reasonable time frames.

  • Analyse and review regular reports provided by sectional heads, verifies data randomly and compiles as per summary requirement of CEO, in required time.

  • Responsible for monthly operations review meetings and ensure all operational KPIs are met and appropriate corrective measures are implemented

  • Implement and maintain SHEQ standards and obtain required qualifications. Reviews reports and audits all facilities fortnightly to ensure safety, health, security and sanitation guidelines

  • Keeps abreast of productivity enhancement measures elsewhere for effecting best practices (benchmarking).

 

Requirements

  • Experience in the Middle East is essential 

  • Experience dealing with retail clients is desirable (Consumer Goods, Furniture, Consumer Electronics etc)

  • 13-16 years of experience, preferable within relevant sectors: Logistics, Supply Chain, etc.

  • Degree holder preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or similar

  • 7-10 years of experience in a Senior Strategic Leadership role; 3 years of experience in role may substitute for an advanced degree.

  • Excellent English communication skills; Arabic would be an advantage

 

A complex operation - the role calls for an independent self starter who is energetic, results driven, organized and able to work under pressure.
